3 Unit Sharp Play on North Carolina/West Virginia O 45.5
I like UNC and WVU to finish OVER the Total Saturday. WVU has their best offensive game ahead, and UNC will bounce back from late-season struggles offensively to put up their best offensive performance in two months. WVU scores 24.0 points/game and UNC scores 27.5 points/game this season. West Virginia is 19-5 OVER when playing with 2 weeks or more of rest since 1992. The Mountaineers have played their best football in bowl games, as Pat White has now won 3 straight bowl games led by a high-powered offense. In the 2005 Sugar Bow, the Mountaineers posted a 38-35 win over Georgia. Two seasons ago, WVU won 38-35 over Georgia Tech in the Gator Bowl. Then last season the Mountaineers put up 48 points in a huge 48-28 blowout of Oklahoma. I see no reason WVU won’t follow suit this season with at least 35 points. UNC has given up 30.5 points/game in their last 2 contests of the season against NC State and Duke. UNC should be able to keep up with WVU offensively as they’ve had plenty of time to work out the kinks. Cash in with the OVER 45.5 points in the Meineke Car Care Bowl Saturday.
